Kids and adults come to church.  They put on long robes.  They sing!  The songs tell about God.

This is part of Evensong.  It is a church service.  People started it long ago in England.

Pray: Thank God for the beauty of song.  We praise Him with music.

Many churches in England have Evensong. The name explains the service. It is in the evening. It is mostly music. People started this service almost 500 years ago. Church services were in Latin before that time. Many people did not know Latin. They could not understand what was said. A church leader wrote new services. These are in English! Evensong has stayed about the same to this day. The choir makes lovely music. People read the Bible out loud. They pray.

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down.” (Psalm 95:6)
