One dad and son make guitars (gih-TARS).  Another dad and son paint shiny coats on them.

They take great care in their work.  They help people make sweet music.

Pray: Thank God for well-made instruments. We can play songs that give God praise and glory.

Read More: Mariano Conde, Sr., lives in Madrid, Spain. He and his son build guitars using the same tools their ancestors used in 1915. They dry wood for 30 to 50 years to get the best sound. It can take six months to make a custom guitar. Mariano Paredes, Sr., and his son handmake varnish for guitars. Their varnish process uses a method from 1800. Resin is dissolved in alcohol and crushed volcanic rock. The resin gives guitars a rich color.

“Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre.” (Psalm 33:2)
