Zara got eggs at the store. She did not want to eat them. She wanted to hatch a bird. She did!
Zara named her baby quail Pebbles. He needed friends. Zara got 6 more quail.

Zara Sutcliffe is 13. She lives in England. She has a dog, three cats, and two tortoises. Is that enough pets? No! She and her mom went to the grocery store. They found quail eggs. Zara put 10 under a heater. She turned them four times each day. Three weeks passed. One bird hatched and lived.
