Not many puffin chicks hatched in Maine.
Maine has good years and bad years for puffins. Last summer was not a good year.
Puffin chicks can eat only small fish. Those fish numbers were down. Just one out of four puffin parents had chicks.
Pray: Thank God that He knows about the puffins and He cares for them.

Pufflings (baby puffins) must eat lots of little herring and sand lance fish. The parents go to sea to catch the food for their chicks. Fewer of these kinds of fish swam in the ocean near Maine this summer. Psalm 104:27 (NIV) says, “All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time.”
