The Australian scientists first put colored genes into tobacco plants. Those plants’ leaves grew with colored splotches. Now the scientists wait to see if their growing cotton plants have bright yellow, orangey-gold, or deep purple fibers. Exodus 35:25 tells us that skillful women of Israel spun blue, purple, and scarlet yarns into fabric to be used in the Tabernacle.
