What a light show!
Watch the waving green lights. Do you see flashes of red? People see more northern lights this year.
Auroras (uh-ROAR-uhs) dance in the sky. The Sun and Earth team up to make this beauty.
Pray: Thank God for the ways He shows His kindness and power. He is gracious to show His glory in the sky.
Read More: The night sky lit up in April. Northern lights usually appear near the Arctic. But people as far south as North Carolina saw auroras. The Sun sends out particles with electric charges. The particles bump into gases in Earth’s air. The Sun’s activity moves in an 11-year-cycle. It has seasons during which it spews out plasma. That makes more storms of energy. Solar winds rush into the space around Earth. Those storms cause northern lights. Auroras will peak around July 2025.
