The Coast Guard no longer needs 4 lighthouses. It wants to give them away. But not to live in. For sharing lighthouse history with others.

New owners must keep up the buildings and land. There are rules for that. And they are costly.

Read More: Lighthouses in the United States are an important part of our history. These four will be given away or sold: The Beavertail Light in Rhode Island; the Watch Hill Light, also in Rhode Island; the Cleveland (Ohio) Harbor Light on Lake Erie; and the Duluth Harbor Light on Lake Superior in Minnesota. Ask someone to help you find out about these lighthouses. Each has a story to tell. Psalm 145 teaches us that it is good for us to remember all the wonderful things God has done.
