Finlee is a dog at a shelter.  He gets bored.  He wants to run and play.  Mr. and Mrs. M. borrow him for a few hours.

They take him on hikes.  Does he look happy?

Pray: Thank God for dogs. It is a joy to give them kindness and space to run around.

St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center is in New Jersey. Volunteers take dogs on field trips. Some people live where pets are not allowed. They still want to play with animals. Other folks want to get to know a dog before they buy one. Shelters can be crowded. That is stressful for dogs. People and dogs both win when they spend time together. People get cuddles. Dogs get to explore. Many shelters encourage this teamwork.

God gave people an important job. We get to care for every creature He made. (Genesis 1:26)
