Walk through fields in winter.  You see many brown stalks.  Just you wait!  The dull brown stalks turn into huge white flowers in summer.

People work to protect the flowers.  Would you like that job?

Pray: Thank God for the beauty of flowers.  Pray people help them thrive.

The Sheyenne National Grassland is in North Dakota. It is one of the few places where western prairie fringed orchids bloom. They can grow more than two feet tall. The flowers have one known pollinator: hawk moths! Many prairies become crop land. That means less space for orchids and moths. People work to save both. They count flowers. They collect seeds. They watch for bears while studying moths. They want to see blooms each summer for years to come.

“O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all.” (Psalm 104:24)
