Americans first ate hot dogs at baseball games in the 1890s. People chomp on many types. New Yorkers sometimes boil them. Many in Illinois top theirs with pickle relish, pickled peppers, and a dill pickle. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt once fed the king and queen of England hot dogs. The king asked for more!
