Skip Johnson is a baseball coach.  He does not want just strong athletes.  He also wants folks who pay attention.  He tells players, “Make your beds.”

They do!  They also cheer each other on.  They won many games.

Pray: Thank God for wise coaches.  They help players have strong minds and bodies.

Skip Johnson is the head baseball coach for the University of Oklahoma. He looks for skilled athletes. He also asks players to make their beds. Players send him photos of their neatly tucked sheets. Mr. Johnson says the chore helps them pay attention to details. He also urges players to build each other up. The team lost some games. Players had to learn from their mistakes. They kept having fun together. They won the national championship in June!

Paul taught Timothy to set an example for others in his speech and actions. (1 Timothy 4:12)
