Zoom.  Mrs. M. jumps hurdles.  She is speedy.  She used to worry.  Was she fast enough?
Could she run perfectly?

She can not!  That is okay.  God loves her whether she wins or loses races.

Pray: Thank God that we do not have to be perfect. Thank Him that Jesus is perfect for us.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone started running at age six. She was the youngest person in nearly 40 years to make the Olympic track team. That was in 2016. She was 16. She won two gold medals in the 2020 Olympics. She set a world record in the 400-meter hurdles in June. Then she set another at the Olympics on August 8. She used to run to please herself and other people. Now she runs to please God alone.

She likes this verse in Proverbs: “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”
