Many people are sad.  They need to talk with someone kind.  Mr. C. helps.  He needed more help.  He trained grandmas.

Grandmas sit on park benches.  They listen.  They speak good words.  People feel better.

Pray: Thank God for the wisdom of grandmas all over the world.

Dixon Chibanda is a professor in Zimbabwe. He helps people who are sad. There are not enough counselors in his area. He trained 14 local grandmothers to help people talk through their problems. He started a team called Friendship Bench Zimbabwe. Now there are thousands of trained grandmothers across the country. One study showed that these grandmas are better than doctors at helping people feel less sad!

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart. And you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29)
