People call 15-year-old Hussam Al-Attar “Gaza’s Newton.” Isaac Newton saw an apple fall from a tree in the 1600s. He called the force at work gravity. Hussam got two fans from a scrap market. He added wire. He made electricity. He and his family live in a tent in Rafah, Gaza. Hussam’s fans act like wind turbines on the roof of a nearby house. The fans recharge batteries and light bulbs. Hussam wants to be a scientist who helps people everywhere.
