People visited a place you reach by boat.  Hard winds blew.  The sea grew wild.  Boats could not take people back to their cars.  Hotels were full.

Mr. P. let 10 people stay with him!

Pray: Thank God for people who bring those in need into their homes.  God loves to help us care for others.

William “BG” Patterson lives in Port Hadlock, Washington. He sells tickets at a ferry. The Seattle Times reports tourists took a boat from Whidbey Island to Port Townsend for the day in July. Hard winds made the water choppy. Ferry boats canceled trips. Tourists had no place to stay. Mr. Patterson invited them into his home. He made pastries and coffee in the morning. Then he drove his guests back to the ferry.

Jesus taught if we feed the hungry and welcome strangers in need, it is like we feed and welcome Him. (Matthew 25:35-40)
