Ring, ring.  Captain Wilmore calls.  He checks on church friends.  He has not been to church in months.  Why?  He is in space!

He calls home.  He teaches the Bible.  The church prays for him.

Pray: Thank God we can worship Him no matter where we are.

Barry “Butch” Wilmore is an elder at Providence Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas. Dr. Tracy Dyson is also a member. Both have served on the International Space Station. They talk to their church family while floating above Earth. Captain Wilmore’s space capsule had problems. He was supposed to be in space a week. Now he will stay eight months until late February. Captain Wilmore says, “We trust in sovereign God.”

His wife, Deanna, says, “Whatever the Lord does will be for our good and for His glory.” How does she know that is true? Read Romans 8:28!
