Play ball in the mountains!
Pop! A baseball sails through the air. Children in Bhutan (BOO-tahn) like games. They shoot arrows. They throw darts. Now they play baseball.
Mr. D. invited kids. “Come learn to play!” The kids loved it!
Pray: Thank God for sports. Baseball helps kids make friends, work as a team, and have fun.

Bhutan is a small country in the Himalayas. It did not have TV until 1999. Children there had never seen a baseball game. Matthew DeSantis is from Connecticut. He moved to Bhutan. He offered to teach baseball to kids in 2010. It is hard to find a flat playing space in the mountains. Mr. DeSantis started on a concrete slab. About 60 kids showed up the first day. That number grew to over 700. Baseball is now the fastest-growing sport in the country.
