She saves tiny birds.
A bird bumps its wing. Ouch! It needs help from a person.
Broken birds come to this home to heal. Come in, hummer. Calm down. Drink from a dropper. Rest.
Pray: Thank God for helping His needy creatures. He is like the bird rescuer with her hummers. He never gives up on you.
Hummingbirds buzz around Catia Lattouf’s apartment in Mexico City, Mexico. Years ago, she saved a bird named Gucci. Caring for Gucci helped her loneliness when she lost her husband. Soon friends brought her more hurt hummingbirds. Some had fallen from nests. Others got sick drinking dirty water from hummingbird feeders. She never turns away a bird. “I believe God gives life and God takes it,” she says. “But we do everything possible.”
May we take care of “the birds of the heavens.” (Psalm 8:8)
