People put traps far under the sea.  They caught snailfish.  No fish have ever been caught that deep before.

Most of the Earth is ocean.  There is much to learn from the sea!

Pray: Thank God for wonders often He alone sees. He knows every fish in the deepest sea. He knows every star by name.

Scientists caught snailfish more than 26,000 feet below the ocean’s surface last year. That’s the deepest catch ever! A team from Australia and Japan captured them in the Japan Trench. There are at least 300 species of snailfish. Most live in shallow water. But some like the murky depths! Dr. Alan Jamieson is the project’s chief scientist. He thinks snailfish are amazing. “I love the fact that they’re kind of small and goofy.”

“There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number, living things both large and small.” (Psalm 104:25, NIV)
