The seal pup needs space. It is cute. But don’t get too close!

It will learn to swim and catch food. The mother seal will keep it safe behind the fence.

Pray: Ask God to give people wisdom to care for His creatures. May we know how best to protect seals in trouble.

Read More: An endangered Hawaiian monk seal had a baby on Kaimana Beach in Hawaii in the spring. Millions of visitors come to that beach each year. Now people and seals must share this popular spot. Hawaii officials fenced off a large stretch of the neighborhood. The fence will keep the seal safe while it grows. It will also protect people from the mother seal, named Kaiwi. Mother seals fight with people if they think their babies are in danger.

“You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble.” (Psalm 32:7)
