Mr. S. draws a hare.  He gives it bushy eyebrows and glasses.  The picture goes in a book.

The book tells an old Christmas story.  It is about a greedy man.  He learns to serve others.

Pray: Thank God for good stories.  Thank Him for people who draw splendid pictures for those stories.

Joe Sutphin lives in a barn in Ohio with his wife and “a bunch of cats.” He started drawing at a young age. Creatures around his home inspire him. He might see a toad or baby mice. He studies their skin, fur, and whiskers. He stores the images in his mind. That helps him draw. He created pictures for a new version of a story by Charles Dickens. Little Christmas Carol came out in September.

God is the one who gives each of us intelligence, knowledge, and skill to make art. (Exodus 35:30-35)
