People thought all these small lizards were gone.  They were wrong!  Earless dragons are alive and well.

The lizards can grow up to 6 inches long.  Do they look like dragons to you?

Pray: Thank God the earless dragon is still alive. Pray people will work hard to help this lizard survive.

Two scientists in Australia took a picture of a lizard in February. It was the earless dragon. People have not seen this lizard in the wild for over 50 years! Earless dragons do not have ear openings on their heads. But they can hear. The lizards live about two years. People farm and build houses on their grassland homes. Cats and foxes hunt them. Not many lizards survive. Staff at Zoos Victoria found 16 earless dragons. They hope to help the lizards thrive.
