Click clack. These toys made of wood move. Wood people drink tea. Wood bears saw a log. Parents showed their kids how to carve the wood.

People have made these wood toys for a long time.

Pray: Thank God for all the skills your parents teach you. Thank Him your parents teach you about Jesus.

Read More: Bogorodskoye is a village northeast of Moscow, Russia. Families there have carved wooden toys since the mid-1700s. The village has had a toy factory for 110 years. Parents handed down carving skills to children. Each family focused on one kind of wooden toy. One made birds. Another made animals. Another made people. Soft woods like linden used for carving take two to six years to dry. It takes three hours to a week to complete an average-sized toy (almost eight inches long).

“The father makes known to the children your faithfulness.” (Isaiah 38:19)
