Would you ride your bike here?
Trains once chug-chugged on this bridge. Then cars zoom-zoomed. But the “Old Seven” broke down. Workers fixed it.
Now bicycles swish-swish along. Runners huff-huff. Walkers stop to gaze at the ocean.
Pray: Praise God for the beauty of the sea. Thank Him that He gave people wisdom to build bridges over water.
Read More: The “Old Seven Mile Bridge” was built 110 years ago. It was part of a railway that connected the Florida Keys with each other. (“Key” comes from a Spanish word that means “small island.”) There are 42 bridges that connect the Florida Keys islands. The longest is the new Seven Mile Bridge. It runs alongside the old span for two miles. It is amazing to drive over land and then on bridges over large sections of water! Psalm 89:9 says of God, “You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.”
